In its place, we receive the same standing before the Father that Jesus enjoyed during His earthly ministry.
Consider Jesus' remarkable fearlessness—His confidence in the Father's presence, His authority over Satan, His mastery over natural elements. He commanded storms to cease, walked on water, and faced death without hesitation. When He stood before Lazarus' tomb and commanded, "Lazarus, come forth," He displayed no inferiority before death itself. This is the nature of righteousness—it produces spiritual authority and confidence.

Restored Fellowship with God
Righteousness reestablishes our lost fellowship with God. Anxiety, restlessness, the consciousness of lack, guilt, and financial burden—all these dissolve in the presence of true righteousness. In their place comes a quietness and rest that allow us to face adverse circumstances with confidence and superiority. Righteousness restores to us the same kind of freedom Jesus demonstrated—freedom from fear of Satan, freedom from fear of people, freedom from the tyranny of circumstances. We stand in the wonderful awareness that "My Father is greater than all" and "Greater is He that is in me than he that is in the world."
Restored Sonship
Perhaps most profound of all, righteousness gives us the sweet consciousness of sonship and its privileges. We are not merely servants or forgiven sinners—we are sons and daughters. God is our Father. We belong to His family.
This righteousness restores the unspeakable joy of fellowship with heaven on terms of equality. We are heirs of God and joint-heirs with Christ Himself.
