Soaring on His Strength
Today's Scripture
Isaiah 40:28-31
Today's Insights
Isaiah 40 offers a powerful reminder of God’s greatness and care. The prophet declares that the Lord, the Creator of all, “will not grow tired or weary” (v. 28). Unlike human strength, which fades, God’s strength is inexhaustible.
Verse 31 is especially uplifting: “But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.” This promise isn’t about avoiding challenges but finding supernatural endurance and renewal in God. When we place our hope in Him, we exchange our weakness for His strength.
Today's Devotional
Life often feels like an uphill climb, draining us of energy and hope. But Isaiah 40:31 offers a profound promise: when we place our hope in God, He renews our strength.
Picture an eagle soaring high above the earth, gliding effortlessly on the wind. This imagery speaks to the freedom and power God provides when we trust in Him. It doesn’t mean we won’t face obstacles, but we’ll find the strength to rise above them.
Our renewal comes from staying connected to God through prayer, His Word, and quiet moments in His presence. It’s in these spaces that He lifts us, giving us the courage to run without weariness and walk through life’s challenges without fainting.
Today, let God be your source of strength. Release your burdens to Him and allow His Spirit to carry you higher than you could ever go on your own.
